Eligibility Requirements for Study in Canada
To be eligible for study in Canada, you need to fulfill the following requirements.
- You are required to have sufficient funds to pay for your Tuition fees, Living expenses for yourself and any family member accompanying you to Canada.
- Have been accepted by any designated learning institute in Canada
- Be in good health and ready to complete any medical examination
- Be a law-abiding national having no criminal record and must not be considered to be a risk to the security of Canada
- Convince an immigration official that you shall move out of Canada after your authorized stay in Canada comes to an end
Work during or after study
Full-time post-secondary students may work without a work permit on the campus of the university or college at which they are full-time students.
Students can work off-campus in Canada while they are in Canada as a student. This may require a Work Permit depending on your criteria. there are some basic requirements for off-campus work
- You have a valid study permit
- You are enrolled in an academic program of at least six months in duration.
- You are a full-time student, studying at a designated learning institute.
- You can work up to 20 hours per week during your academic sessions and work full-time during your scheduled breaks.
